We often have beautiful sunsets and this was a beauty. How fleeting they are though. Perhaps Nature's quick toast at the end of another wonderful day. Salute!
Hello and welcome. I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. I moved here from Canberra with some of my family in 2003. I had lived in Canberra or Bungendore (just out of Canberra) since 1970. For most of my adult life I was in education - high school teaching and project work with the Australian College of Educators. I have always been interested in history, especially Australian, American and Egyptian. I read extensively. This is one of the luxuries of no longer working full time. I love a cup of Lapsang tea every day and I enjoy raw potatoes.I also am suffering more and more from ADI. The best thing about livingon the Sunshine Coast is that I'm never cold and I am a 'time millionaire'.It is an amazing to be able to wear shorts 90% of the timeand to enjoy the beach, the coffee and the people. I love the tropical plants I'm able to grow in the garden - ferns and ginger plants are favourites. I miss the seasonal changes of Canberra but am fortunate to be able to visit my land on the edge of Lake George near Canberra to see the daffodils in spring. More later.
